Bibliographic 2.7: Five Songs
I’m still not back to jogging: the late summer farm egg ankle incident, physio over the fall, snowy winter, vertigo, ongoing winter. But I walked a lot over the weekend, in the cold, listening to music, turning thoughts over in my head, achieving that clear-eyed feeling you get when you inhale large volumes of fresh air, like you’re so close to reaching some kind of grand conclusion. You don’t get there, but it’s nice to feel like you could have.
I wasn’t going to send anything this month because I have more thoughts than actual words to say. There are more important voices to listen to right now. But in case you need it, something soft, here are five quiet, tender songs for your heart.
I don’t know who needs to hear this: sometimes it’s good to sing your feelings
Idkwntht - Tomberlin
Rubberneckers - Christian Lee Hutson
Resentment (New Feelings Version) - Madi Diaz w. Waxahatchee
Change - Big Thief
These Days - Cat Power
