There are many reasons Lindsay and I are doing events together— a big one is how fun it will be to just gab in a car while driving to these wonderful indie bookstores instead of exchanging voice memos— but also, our books are very complementary! Literary fiction that touches on themes of motherhood, early adulthood, and complex close relationships? Double check, check, check.

I’ve mostly been writing personal essay-type stuff in my newsletters, but I would like to start publishing again elsewhere. I started a new job, I love it!
Art I loved: Sucker Punch by Scaachi Koul (audio version, actually), The Alphabetical Diaries by Sheila Heti (the I section, especially exquisite), Samantha Garner’s Undone Rituals mixtape on her Patreon, Severance Season 2 (oof), everything about The White Lotus S3, The Magnetic Fields performing 69 Love Songs live, the new Lucy Dacus album.
You might hear from me a bit more as we get closer to my book publication, but I promise to make it fun.
