March! Lots of planning happened in March. Let’s get to it.
BOOK EVENTS!
Official Toronto launch: Thursday May 15, 2025 @ Queen Books. 6:30-8:30, featuring book store karaoke!
On tour with Lindsay Zier-Vogel and THE FUN TIMES BRIGADE:
Tuesday May 20 - Novel Spot - ETOBICOKE
Thursday May 22 - The City and The City Books - HAMILTON
Wednesday June 4 - Type Books (Queen W) - TORONTO
Thursday June 5 - Take Cover Books - PETERBOROUGH
Thursday June 12 - Little Wren Books - LONDON
Tuesday June 17 - Books & Company - PICTON
Saturday June 21 - The Book Wardrobe - MISSISSAUGA (with Samantha Garner!)
There are many reasons Lindsay and I are doing events together— a big one is how fun it will be to just gab in a car while driving to these wonderful indie bookstores instead of exchanging voice memos— but also, our books are very complementary! Literary fiction that touches on themes of motherhood, early adulthood, and complex close relationships? Double check, check, check.
OTHER WRITING!
I’ve mostly been writing personal essay-type stuff in my newsletters, but I would like to start publishing again elsewhere. Here’s something I wrote on Today’s Parent, about how I learned how to play Roblox when I grappled with the scary realities of co-parenting: How Roblox Helped Me Accept Co-Parenting
KARAOKE!

Our karaoke is so good. It deserves its own writeups, which we captured in these posts on Instagram: Women in Song part one, part two. Joyous kids karaoke too!
Upcoming karaoke events here in Toronto: Indie Sleaze on April 11, It’s Just So Typically May! A 90s-2000s Pop Party on May 24, Super Queer, Super Rainbows, All The Feelings Pride Party on June 27.
If you have any questions about what these nights are like, email me!
LIFE!
I started a new job, I love it!
Art I loved: Sucker Punch by Scaachi Koul (audio version, actually), The Alphabetical Diaries by Sheila Heti (the I section, especially exquisite), Samantha Garner’s Undone Rituals mixtape on her Patreon, Severance Season 2 (oof), everything about The White Lotus S3, The Magnetic Fields performing 69 Love Songs live, the new Lucy Dacus album.
You might hear from me a bit more as we get closer to my book publication, but I promise to make it fun.
Here’s to April, to spring, to a bit more brightness.
xo Teri
Exciting dates! (And thank you!)
